Wow . . . those poor hens. Maybe they should sit on them, but then maybe baby chicks wouldn't survive these old winter temperatures. I'll bet it is easy to tell that I am not a farmer . . . although; the farm life has always been a little dream of mine.
In regard to the comment you left on my blog: I think that it is so cool that your kids are making journals . . . the journals that they make will become family treasures as they grow into adults. Have a joy filled weekend. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Even with a nice thick bed of shavings, I've had a few of those in the last week. They either end up in the dog dish or omelettes. It is up to 15 on MDI but the wind is blowing of course.
At least your girls are laying! Mine keep getting confused by the weather and have given up. I'm sure it'll taste great in a batch of cookies :) Hope it warms up for you a little bit!!
Ha ha, but here everything is frozen.....to darn cold....Think Spring, think Spring.....Enjoy the weekend, Francine.

I had one of these yesterday. When I smushed it (because I couldn't resist!) it reminded me of the inside of one of those Cadbury Creme Eggs!
ReplyDeleteOh my! It's cold at your place!
ReplyDeleteThat is some serious cold!
ReplyDeleteYikes, that is waaayyy too cold!! This is the second post on frozen eggs I've seen this week.
